Measure neck circumference

  1. Take the part of the neck where you want the collar to hang
  2. Measure your dog's neck circumference with a flexible measuring tape, just hold it loosely around the neck, not too loose and not too tight
  3. Make sure that 1 or 2 fingers still fit between them, so you can be sure that the collar will hang nicely around your neck.
  4. Some dogs have more fur than others. Does your dog have less fur after a grooming? Then choose the option to add extra holes, because this is free!

Are you getting or do you have a puppy?

The right size collar for your puppy depends on whether it is a small or (medium) large dog breed.

  • Small dogs, such as a Dachshund, often need 1 (puppy) collar before they can start using their permanent collar
  • A Labrador, Vizsla or Australian Shephard often needs 2 (puppy) collars before they have grown.

But how do you know which size you need as your first collar?

  • For a (Standard) Dachshund you can choose a size XS or S and a width of 1.6 cm. (possibly with 2 extra holes)
  • For example, for a Labrador, Vizsla or Australian Shephard you can choose a size S and a width of 1.9 cm. (possibly with 2 extra holes)
