What is BioThane®?

BioThane® comes from the USA. BioThane consists of a strong layer of nylon tape with a protective layer of plastic.

The NOOFF products are made from the original BioThane® Beta variant.

This is the variant closest to leather because of its 'handfeel' and suppleness. This makes BioThane® also a very popular product among vegans or non-leather users.

Cons

  • When Biothane has become wet it can sometimes be slightly slippery in the hands
  • Over time, cracks may appear in the BioThane if chemical products are used for the dog, such as flea treatment
  • With long-term and very intensive use, BioThane can become stiffer over time
